warranty coverage. We are committed to providing two times services for the first-year New Home Warranty.
Warranty coverage begins when the first of the following occurs:
- the new home is occupied
- the permitting authority grants permission to occupy
- the title of the new home is transferred to the purchase

Warranty acts as the administrator to ensure that every policy is interpreted fairly.

1 Year Materials & Labour WarrantyHomes enrolled with Progressive Home Warranty will be worry-free in the first year as we warrant against defects (items that do not conform with warranty standards) in workmanship and materials that may occur during the first year after completion.
2 Year Mechanical Systems WarrantyIn the second year our warranty extends to the crucial mechanical systems that keep the home comfortable.
Progressive Home Warranty provides coverage for any defect in materials and labour supplied for the gas, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning delivery systems.
5 Year Foundation Water Penetration WarrantyProgressive Home Warranty provides coverage against water penetration through foundation walls that threaten the comfort and beauty of the home. 10 Year Structural Defect WarrantyProgressive Home Warranty protects the very heart of the home’s structure for 10 full years to a maximum of $60,000. It covers any defect in materials and labour that results in a failure of the load bearing components of the home or the structural damage that might result from such a failure. The new home warranty coverage limit and/or rebuild amount, as established in the Home Warranty Insurance Regulation, is set at a maximum of $265,000 for a single-family home and $130,000 for a unit in a condominium or other multi-family complex. Homeowners can choose to buy additional coverage if they wish.
The coverage limits are based on the average cost of rebuilding a home. This includes the structure but does not include other costs such as land, contents or landscaping.
